LANDMARKS IN THE NOVASOFT'S HISTORY (1993 - 2005).

1993

Novasoft is born in the Technological Park of Andalusia (Malaga) out of the effort and the dream of 2 partners. It happens after a SPIN-OFF, in the Incubator of companies BIC EURONOVA.

1994

Novasoft starts its work in the Health sector with the development of the first medical record in Primary Healthcare under Windows in the Health Centre Torre del Mar (Malaga), with the support of the Central Services of the Andalusia Health Service (SAS: Servicio Andaluz de Salud).

1995

Direct participation in the TASS Project, Health Card with the Andalusia Health Service, in the pilot Health Centres of Fuensanta and Levante Norte (Córdoba).

1996

NovaHIS, Hospital Information System, started to develop using the client/server technology with the PowerBuilder tool.

1997

Creation of STAT Auditing Software company in USA.

1998

Strategic agreement with Ufacex, from Union Fenosa Group. Its aim was to distribute and commercialise our products in Latin America.

1999

Certificate by AENOR (based in the UNE-EN-ISO9001Regulation) from Novasoft Health. It is the first "Software Healthcare“ company in Spain to achieve the AENOR Certification.

2000

Creation of the Novasoft Business Group: Novasoft Healthcare, e-Novasoft, Novasoft Consulting and Novasoft Engineering.

2001

NOVASOFT computerizes the ADESLAS hospital centres.

2002

Acquisition of 52 % of Auladat, Catalan company accredited by HP, Microsoft, Novell and Lotus to train professional technicians, computer distributors and other companies to a quality standard. Novasoft Training is created.

Agreements of Distribution and alliances with partners in Portugal, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Costa Rica.

2003

10th Anniversary of Novasoft.

Starting the "University of Andalusia in Microsoft Technologies".

Agreement of distribution between Novasoft and the Portuguese company NLS-New Link Solutions-Consultoría e Engenharia, S.A.

Purchase of the G2 Security Company, take over of SDISA and merger of COM5, companies that strengthen the Novasoft Engineering sector.

2004

Telecommunications Division is created.

NOVASOFT EXPLICAN is created through acquisition of 4 year old company EXPLICAN, the first NOVASOFT office in an European country, London, UK.

Opening new offices in Madrid, Canary Island and Valencia.

Novasoft brand unification process. This starts a period of consolidation and growth of the company due to the reorganisation of the company in divisions.

2005

Novasoft merges with Novasoft Soluciones Canarias SA, thus establishing the division Novasoft Canary Islands.

The company reaches a number of 300 direct contributors on the staff.

The company decides to sell its Healthcare division to the multinational ISOFT in order to reactivate its assets and focus on the other business areas. The deal closed on more than 15,6 million euro.

Novasoft becomes part, as a head founder, of the Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (Andalusian Technological Corporation), an initiative in which participate other 32 regional companies, nine financial institutions and ten Andalusian universities. Its purpose is to promote the transfer of technological and scientific knowledge to the productive network and to the Andalusian society in general.

2006

The effort made by Novasoft in the area of e-Administration is rewarded by the Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía with the approval of the Mall@ project, presented along with Innoben. The project will promote the relation between the local administrations and the citizens, and will provide the administration with avant garde technological tools.

The company reaches a number of 300 direct contributors on the staff.

The President of the Junta de Andalucía (Governing Board of Andalusia), Manuel Chaves González, inaugurates Novasoft’s new corporate headquarters in the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía. It is a building of 2,500 square meters with room for 300 working posts. The company has invested 4,5 million euro in this new headquarters.

Unicaja, Andalusia's leading financial institution, acquires stake in Novasoft, gaining 15% of the company’s capital.

2007

The company becomes a reference in the development of e-Administration for the public local institutions with the establishment in five years of hallmark projects such as Mijas Digital (Digital Mijas), 'Ciudades digitales de Úbeda y Baeza' (Digital cities of Úbeda and Baeza) or the project performed for the Municipality Commonwealth of Andévalo.

The Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS), -Andalusian Public Health Service-, awards the technological support of all its hospitals to the temporary joint venture constituted by Novasoft, for the amount of 16,4 million euro. The project implies the creation of more than 200 jobs.

Novasoft awards the largest public tender in Consulting announced in Andalusia, which involves more than 3,500 workers. The company will consult municipal companies and companies from the AIE in Seville, on Quality, Environment, Hazard Prevention and Excellence (EFQM), for more than 850,000 euro.

The company is committed to talent and innovation and supports young companies and academic research groups, with which creates a network of affiliates.

2008

XV Anniversary of Novasoft.

The company presents a project for the construction of the Parque Científico Tecnológico Geolit (Scentific and Technological park), in Jaén, a 'software factory' addressed to provide solutions to public local institutions and to provide them with the latest innovations on e-Administration. The counsellor of Innovation, Science and Enterprise, Francisco Vallejo, presided over the public event held for the presentation of this project, which first initiative will be the construction of a building in a more than 2,500 square meters plot of land inside the aforementioned park, and that will have room for more than 300 workers.
